Whether you are developing resources to boost data literacy or creating training with your institution's data tools, thoughtful instructional design can make a major difference. Effective training not only supports knowledge transfer, it also helps build stronger data culture across campus.
Join Christopher Cherry, IT Training & Support Specialist at the University of Arizona's University Analytics & Institutional Reporting (UAIR), as he shares how the UAIR team approached the design of the UAccess Analytics Certification and other data literacy initiatives. Christopher developed the UAIR eLearning program that prepares learners to use analytics tools effectively. With his background in customer service, he focuses on reducing friction in learning by meeting learners where they are.
The session will draw on established learning theories and cover strategies for building relevant and enticing content with technical and institutional constraints in mind.
